Alen graduated from UPC - Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya with a B.S. in industrial design. After completing his college degree, his apprenticeship began under the tutelage of famed industrial designer, Josep Lluscà, in Barcelona, Spain where he acquired a broad range of design experience in consumer products and furniture. Three years later, he moved to Los Angeles, where he continued his training at CSUN and ArtCenter at Night in Pasadena. His professional career in Los Angeles started in 2001 specializing in designing products in consumer electronics, power tools, medical equipment, toys and furniture. His extensive work earned him the Manufacturer's Choice and finalist awards at the 2006 Hotseat2 furniture design competition. While working as consulting design director for Zivelo, the largest manufacturer of public kiosk terminals, Alen's self ordering kiosk designs were chosen and implemented by McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Burger King and Wendy’s fast food restaurants.

Alen enjoys playing tennis, ping pong, practices MMA/Kick boxing and is an avid Formula One Racing fan.
